The Indian Premier League 2019 has come to a glorifying end with Mumbai Indians defeating Chennai Super Kings in the finals of the tournament in Hyderabad and clinching their fourth title, a record in the league. Rohit Sharma also became the player with most IPL titles to his name – five.

The final of the tournament was one of the best cliffhangers one will ever witness, as Mumbai Indians batted first and managed to put 149 runs on the board thanks to Kieron Pollard’s fiery 41 not out and contributions from Hardik Pandya and Quinton de Kock. Deepak Chahar of CSK picked three wickets, while Imran Tahir and Harbhajan Singh showed once again that the experience always comes in handy.

CSK’s chase was shouldered by one man only — Shane Watson — who made 80 before being run out in the last over. Faf du Plessis played a good cameo, but the likes of Raina, Rayudu, and even Dhoni failed to support him in the match. In the last ball of the 20th over, Lasith Malinga had to defend two runs and he got Shardul Thakur out LBW to win the match and the trophy for MI by one run.

Not only the players were tense during the whole match which went down to the wire. The fans in the stands were also biting their nails in anticipation of their team’s win. One such fangirl was caught on the lenses of the cameraman, who was spotted with a blue kurti and cheering loudly for the Mumbai Indians, waving their flag every time a four or six was hit, or a wicket was taken by Mumbaikars.

The cameraperson constantly followed her and captured her reactions much similar to the incident during the RCB v SRH match, when Deepika Ghose, an RCB fangirl was caught on camera dancing and cheering for the red army. She became an overnight sensation as her fan following on the social media touched new heights and she has now become a minor celebrity.

The Twitter meanwhile, was awestruck over this new MI fangirl and showed their affection in terms of tweets.
