New Zealand took on Bangladesh in a dead rubber Group 2 game in the World T20 at Eden Gardens. The Kiwi captain Kane Williamson won the toss and elected to bat first. The Kiwis rested opener Martin Guptill and brought in left-arm spinner Nathan McCullum in place of pacer Adam Milne.
New Zealand lost an early wicket in the form of Henry Nicholls. Kane Williamson then mustered 42 off 32 balls and was supported well by Colin Munro 35 (33) and the experienced Ross Taylor 28(24). However, the Kiwi batting lineup then collapsed from 99/2 to 139/8 courtesy the star Bangladesh bowlers Mustafizur Rahman.
Mustafizur picked up his best T20I figures of 5 wickets for 22 runs in his four overs as he applied the breaks into the New Zealand innings by taking a flurry of wickets. Al-Amin Hossain complemented him well and also picked up 2 wickets.
On the other hand, Bangladesh failed terribly to come upto the task. Their batsmen fell like a pack of cards as the spinners spun a web around the Bangladesh batting lineup. Only 3 players could reach double figures as Bangladesh registered their lowest total in T20 Internationals as they were bowled out for a meager 70 and with that they are done without securing a single victory in the tournament.
Twitter kept everyone entertained right from Mustafizur’s five wicket haul to the floodlights failure at the Wankhede to Bangladesh exit in the WT20. Here are some of the reactions during the New Zealand – Bangladesh game:

This was New Zealand's sixth T20I win in a row – their longest in T20Is.
They had won 5 between Oct 2011 and Feb 2012. #NZvsBan #WT20

From bowling #IND out for 79 in 1st game to getting #BAN all out for 70. Been dominant. Hoping things do not go as #CWC15 for them.

Grant Elliot & Kevin Pietersen are classic examples that South Africans are not born chokers. They have achieved it #NZvsBan

Very thoughtful from the person who placed Bangladesh's last match in Kolkata. Wont take them much time to go back to Bangladesh now #WT20

Best fielding team in the cricketing world, by some distance:
New Zealand.

New Zealand are playing some cold-blooded cricket these days.

Give credit to Kane, Santner, but that was a stupid shot to play when you are not even in. What's the point of experience then?

The only thought that crosses my mind while seeing today's match #NZvsBan —the pitch for the #WT20 final ought to be a lot better.

For someone like Kane to attempt that shot, tells you, Mustafizur got into him and forced an error. Lovely, crafty bowling! #WT20
