Twitter reactions on Bangladesh’s knockout punch to England in the World Cup 2015: There were not many hopes from The England cricket team to do well in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2015. But the format in which the World Cup 2015 is designed and the reputation (from test cricket) that the team had one expected them to make it to the Quarter-finals of the tournament. All hopes of the English fans were washed away as the inventors of the game went down to Bangladesh in the virtual knock out match for them as they had to win it to keep hopes in the tournament alive.
Batting first the Asian team posted 275-7 in 50 over’s which looked a decent and defendable total; good disciplined bowling from Bangladesh bowlers in the end and unacceptable batting from England got them bowled out for 15 less on 260.
With this Bangladesh have ensured themselves a ticket into the knock out stages and another for England all the way home as they are knocked out of the tournament even without actually playing the knock-out matches. Everybody even the English fans accepted before the match that they had to play well to beat the Bangla team but they could not and even if the fans forgive them for the dismal show the Twitter world surely doesn’t. Here are Twitter reactions on Bangladesh’s knockout punch to England in the World Cup 2015:
