Twitter Reactions on Kumar Sangakkara’s 4 consecutive tons in world cup 2015: When we talk about Sri Lankan cricket we remember the Ranatungas, the Jayasuriyas and Mahela Jayawardene, one man who has received very little credit for his years of service to their cricket is the veteran Kumar Sangakkara. He is a pure batsman but, the man took to wicket-keeping to let his team have better balance in the unit.

What we fail to realize is Sangakkara is not only among the wicketkeepers with most scalps but also is the second highest run-scorer in ODI cricket. Discussing batting in ODI cricket we always discuss of Tendulkar or Ponting being the best while we fail to recognize the Sanga effect.
Playing his last One Day International tournament with the ICC Cricket World Cup 2015 Kumar Sangakkara has been at his peak all throughout. He has now scored 4 hundreds in consecutive matches and thus making another record his own, as he is the first ever batsmen to achieve this feat.
Scores of 104 vs Australia, 117 vs England, 105 vs Bangladesh and 124 vs Scotland at Hobart on 11th March tell you how well this stalwart of Sri Lanka cricket has been playing in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2015. Some may dismiss him with various tags of being a flat track bully and even call him a minnow basher, but one certainly does not become the second highest run scorer in ODI cricket without being a legend that he is.
