Australia are currently finding it very difficult to counter Rohit Sharma and the runs pouring out of his bat. The first ODI at Perth might have ended for India on a bitter note with a loss. However, Rohit Sharma was a the reason which brought delight to the Indian fans with his unbeaten 171*.

Both teams came face to face again for the second ODI. India won the toss and chose to bat first just like they did in the first ODI. Shikhar Dhawan was once dismissed cheaply. But, Rohit Sharma continued his blazing form and batted with his usual elegance and poise.

The Rohit-Virat partnership looked solid once again as both the batsmen scored with ease. However, Virat was run out in the 23rd over just when India were looking great. However, he continued in the same fashion and stroked his way to consecutive century with support from Ajinkya Rahane. It was in the 37th over that the moment came when he nudged a ball to the point and registered his 10th career ton. With this century, Rohit also became the 3rd Indian to score a century at Gabba.

And, now that he has reached another century, fans would be certainly expecting another big century or maybe a double century. India look set for a big total and are in a similar position in which they where last ODI. But, a lot depends on Rohit Sharma and the rest of the batsmen if India aims to post a imposing total for Australia to chase.

Whatever the end result maybe, this century simply makes everyone realize that his love-affair with Australia has just got stronger. Though he unfortunately got run-out on 124 caught out of the crease backing up as Ajinkya Rahane hit one straight towards the bowler James Faulkner.
