The T10 League has witnessed one of its closest matches ever and it left the audience on the edge of their seats throughout. The result of the game between Sindhis and Northern Warriors was only decided on the last ball of the match. A bye was sneaked in which helped the Warriors win the game by one wicket putting down curtains on the anxiety levels and they just about survived the mighty scare to keep their dominance going in the tournament.
It can’t get closer than this one
Shane Watson-led Sindhis were put into bat first after they lost the toss. Although the team lost some quick wickets early on in the game, the skipper kept the intensity on from one end. He was the highest scorer of the innings and accelerated his way to a half-century which came off only 27 balls. His innings included five fours and three sixes. However, Hardus Viljoen dismissed him on the 28th ball that he faced which eventually helped slow down the scoring rates.
Since there weren’t many significant contributions from the other batsmen, the Sindhis failed to put up a decent total on the board. Despite this decent knock from Shane Watson, the Northern Warriors managed to restrict the opposition for only 91 runs in the allotted 10 overs. Even though the target wasn’t high, the Sindhis’ bowlers put up some exceptional efforts.
The top four of the Northern Warriors, which is one of the fiercest in the tournament, were all dismissed quickly. This put pressure on the middle order, which hasn’t been exposed much thus far. The bowlers kept chipping in with wickets at regular intervals and it all boiled down to the last over.
Eight runs were required. Isuru Udana started off with two wides that was followed by a wicket. One run was scored on the second ball and again a wicket fell on the third. Imran Haider hit a boundary on the fourth ball to keep the Warriors still in the game. But he was dismissed on the fifth ball. With just one wicket left, a bye was taken on the last ball to eventually win the game. Twitterati was thrilled to watch this game and doesn’t seem to get over it.

Wahab Riaz has consistently outsmarted the batsmen with his new slower ball in the #T10League..it's really slow and really hard to detect.
