Twitter Reactions: Twitter goes crazy over the dry Ranchi pitch and bald ground

The Ranchi wicket had a darker, drier and dustier look a pitch totally different from what we saw at Pune. The Pune wicket was too green and proved too good for the Indian batsmen this one did surprise a few. But, the pitch on offer for the 2nd T20I was even more surprising. It was not just the strip that lacked grass, there was hardly any grass even on the outfield had a bald look.
Batting looked really easy when India started as Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan took the Sri Lankan bowling apart. Dhawan particularly came really hard and scored at a strike rate in excess of 200. He also scored the maiden fifty of his T20I career. The wicket soon came into play as spinners took the charge, it started to slow and batting was easy no longer.
India had the explosive pair of Hardik Pandya and Suresh Raina at the middle and the two took on the attack to the Lankan bowlers, things really turned thereafter and the boundaries started to flow all around. But the bowlers did make a splendid comeback towards the end of the innings to stop India inside the 200-run mark.
Twitter was severe on the Ranchi pitch curator for preparing such a wicket, they also didn’t fail to troll the authorities for the look the ground had with hardly any grass on it.
