Twitter Reactions: Twitter trolls Hashim Amla for his slow start in the second innings: South African skipper has had probably the worst tour of his career, not just the fact that he hasn’t been able to get the runs he was expected to, but also because he has really struggled during his brief stay at the crease. Hashim Amla was totally out of sorts in the T20Is and the ODIs while many expected him to get back into his grooves once he walks out in the longer format.

But that was not to happen rather he got stuck further into the shell. In the last innings of the tour at the Firoz Shah Kotla he was too cautious to be termed cautious and took a while before scoring his first runs.

Amla took 56 minutes and 46 balls in his innings to give the scorer’s an opportunity to register a run around his name. In contradiction to the last tour of India where he was unbeatable for the bowlers, the South African has been an easier target this time.

After playing 4 Tests and 7 innings in the series, he has scored just 99 runs before the last innings, which makes his average read 16.50 while he neither has a half-century nor a hundred, he has been out for duck once.

The Indian spinners have had the better of him right throughout and the run-machine has just failed miserably to live up to his name and reputation. Which has been one of the prime reasons why the Protea batting has looked toothless is his dry runs.

Twitter started trolling Amla after he batted for more than 40 balls without scoring a run, here are the best tweets and Twitter Reactions:
