Twitter Reactions: Twitterati thanks Anushka Sharma for sacrificing Virat Kohli

In a high summit clash between India and Pakistan, Virat Kohli again emerged as the saviour for India. Despite the Men in Blue losing three early wickets, Virat Kohli did not put a foot wrong during his unbeaten knock of 55 runs from just 37 balls.

Probably one of the best Kohli innings you’ll ever see, He played a scintillating innings under pressure. Even the great Brian Lara and Imran Khan were full of praise for his match-winning knock. His gesture to Sachin Tendulkar in the stands after reaching his half century was quite a touching moment for the fans.

This was India’s 11th consecutive win over Pakistan in the ICC World tournaments with Kohli scoring third successive half-century against them in last three world editions of shortest format. Thus Pakistan continued their winning drought against India in the World Cup games.

Ever since their relationship began, both Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma have become the butt of jokes in social media. It was recently reported by various media channels that the couple had broken up. Twitter remained buzzing about it. Right from asking Anushka to patch up to linking Kohli’s form post-breakup.
