The Indian batting line-up has been rattled early into the inning by some fiery display with the ball from Pakistani pacer Mohammad Amir. The talisman of the Pakistani bowling attack has been in destructive mood from his very first over as he sent in form batsman Rohit Sharma back to the pavilion. The left-handed magician followed it up with the wicket of Indian skipper Virat Kohli which has spread a huge amount of darkness over India’s hopes of retaining the trophy.

Virat Kohli’s dismissal:

Kohli looked shaky from the very first ball he faced and even got a second life in the match. The right-handed batsman edged a Mohammad Amir delivery back to the slips but was fortunate enough to be dropped by opener Azhar Ali.

Unable to carry his flamboyant form in the tournament Virat Kohli fell victim to a brilliant Mohammad Amir the very next ball. An inch-perfect delivery from the lanky speedster sent Virat Kohli back into the stands as he edged one to the point fielder into the safe hands of Fakhar Zaman.

The loss of important batsmen like Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli has put Pakistan in pole position to clinch their maiden Champions Trophy title. Virat Kohli has been instrumental for India in run chases but not this time as he was dismissed for a mere score of 5 of just 9 balls. Here is how the Twitterati reacted to Virat Kohli’s wicket that has left the Indian batting line up in some serious trouble:
