Twitter Reactions: Virat Kohli slams ton as Indians surge ahead

The first day’s play of the second Test match between India and England at Vizag well and truly belonged to Indian skipper Virat Kohli. The 28-year old was perhaps one of the most impressive aspects of the match as he slammed an impressive 151, something that sees him well and truly on the path to score his second double-century in the calendar year.
One of the few other prominent aspects of the ordeal was the fact that play was interrupted for a minute amount of time when a dog made its way into the field of play. This, however, had little or no impact on proceedings as the Indians and the Britons continued to do battle on the field of play.
After a horribly difficult start, one that saw KL Rahul and Murali Vijay dismissed quite early on in the innings, something that struck the Indians with quite a bit of adversity, to say the least. However, it was the brilliance of Virat Kohli and Cheteshwar Pujara who impressed and took the Indians to a zone of safety in the first innings.
Moreover, it was Cheteshwar Pujara who also managed yet another impressive innings with the bat, something that saw him smash 118 supremely impressive runs, to say the least. However, his dismissal was something rather disappointing as he edged the ball to Jonny Bairstow towards the close of play.

Ajinkya Rahane, India’s charismatic vice-captain also was dismissed with just two overs left in the day as England took the new ball. Yet, in spite of all this, the Indians concluded the day with Virat Kohli unbeaten on 151 and the hosts with the upper hand.
Engand's last six Test victories since 1980 in India have come in Tests where they lost the toss.#IndvEng#justsaying

Unless England can dismiss Kohli for under 169 tomorrow morning, all three of his highest scores will have come since July this year. Form.
