Twitter Reactions: Virender Sehwag hits hundred in Ranji Trophy after international retirement: Virender Sehwag left his fans sad by announcing his retirement from international cricket on his 37^th birthday, this week. But the silver lining is that he will continue to play domestic cricket. Viru hit a slow, patient and determined hundred against Ranji champions Karnatak today, coming in to bat one down; he got to his fifty in the first session and came back after to complete a pleasing hundred.

He is with a new side Haryana for Ranji Trophy 2015-16 and has been in good touch thus far. In the first game of the season Sehwag scored 92 against Maharashtra; played two useful knocks of 37 and 51 against his former team Delhi, though Haryana conceded the game.

Since he is a retired cricketer now and would not carry the pressure of scoring with the objective of making a national comeback Viru can bat that much more freely and enjoy his game.

At the moment Virender Sehwag is batting unbeaten on 108 from 137 balls; he has already struck 12 fours and 3 biggies and has been scoring at a strike rate of 78.83. A good knock coming in from Sehwag will definitely boost the confidence of his team since they are up against ruling Ranji champions and the fact that when Viru gets a hundred he makes them big ones makes the match even more exciting.
