Twitter Reactions: Darren Bravo leads West Indies fightback despite early jolts

The first-ever day night Test on Asian soil might just end in a draw owing to a flat track. A mammoth total put on the board by Pakistan saw West Indies bowlers weep haplessly. However, as it turned out to be, the wicket remained the same on the day 3 as well. West Indies lost their opener Leoh Johnson cheaply by the end of day 2. His partner Kraigg Brathwaite and middle-order batsman Darren Bravo showed great fight on day 3. The duo batted cautiously.
The run flow was slow but the key for West Indies was to keep the wickets intact. Pakistan leggie Yasir Shah was expected to be the man to watch out for. He delivered the goods by breaking the partnership. Brathwaite perished after a hard fought 32. Bravo went on to score the slowest fifty in the history of West Indies cricket. He held the fort at one end as wickets kept falling at regular intervals at the other.
Veteran batsman Marlon Samuels gave good support to Bravo. They added 113 for the 3rd wicket to see West Indies move closer to avoid the follow on. Samuels got his half century too before being dismissed by Sohail Khan on 76. Jermaine Blackwood got a start too. He fought hard in the middle. The conditions were not the toughest to bat on but it was all about the mental pressure the West Indies player endured.
Blackwood’s 37 ended when Wahab Riaz struck first blood. The Twitter reactions on Wahab’s spell was active. Riaz bowled his heart out on a dead wicket. He was unlucky to have not bagged a lot of wickets though. He got rid of Roston Chase immediately after dismissing Blackwood. The biggest jolt for the visitors came when the set batsman Darren Bravo was dismissed towards the end of day 3.
