Twitter Reactions: Zimbabwe vs Pakistan, 1st ODI: In what was expected to be an exciting contest between the two teams following an interesting T20 series, what it turned out to be was a damp squid. Pakistan steam-rolled Zimbabwean players post an incredible performance from the Pakistan spinners.
Zimbabwe post winning the toss chose to field in a testing wicket. And Pakistan was in quite a spot of bother, before fighting knocks from the middle order and the lower middle order took them to a competitive 259. Mohammad Rizwan top scored for Pakistan with 75.
Zimbabwe, in response, never got into the groove of chasing down the target. Though the middle order hung around till 30th over, the lower order ran through by some poor shot selection from Zimbabwean players, and some tight bowling from the Pakistani spinners.
Yasir Shah, who is having a purple patch, ended up taking 6 wickets for just 26 runs.
