Twitter ripped Virat Kohli to shreds even in his Diwali post

Indian captain Virat Kohli is undoubtedly one of the greatest cricketers the world has ever been a witness to. From the personal front, he also has had a decent time after celebrating his first Karvachauth in Pune with wife Anushka Sharma and celebrated his 30th birthday on November 5. However, the last couple of days haven’t been memorable for Virat by any means.

The 30-year-old recently released his new application where he severely bashed a supporter. The fan mentioned that there’s nothing special about Kohli’s batting and that he prefers watching the Australian and English batsmen weave their magic. The comments irked the Delhi-born cricketer and he asked the person to leave India if he doesn’t like his own countrymen.

Virat sends his wishes on Diwali

Thereafter, Virat has been greeted with brickbats from every nook and corner of the country, albeit a few of them came out in support of the cricketer. After all the trolling, Virat broke his silence on the matter and said that he believes in ‘freedom of choice’. His is currently taking a break and would be back in India’s three-match T20I series against Australia, which starts on November 21.

The festive season in India is currently underway and two days ago on November 7, the nation celebrated ‘Diwali’ a festival of lights. On the auspicious occasion, the Indian skipper also took to Twitter and wished his countrymen. He posted a beautiful picture with his better-half to put forth his message.

He took to the micro-blogging site and wrote, “A very happy and prosperous Diwali to everyone from our home. Wishing everyone peace, happiness and good health. God bless. @AnushkaSharma,”

In the meantime, Twitterati didn’t even spare him on Diwali. They brought forth the same ‘leave India’ controversy and slammed him for the outrageous comments.
