Indian wicket-keeper Parthiv Patel was included in the second Test after Wriddhiman Saha sustained a niggle according to the captain Virat Kohli. many questions have been raised over the selection of Team India in this series after dropping Ajinkya Rahane and Bhuvneshwar Kumar. Even the catches have been dropped by the visitors which has led South Africa being ahead in the ongoing Test. However, Twitterati has trolled Parthiv Patel for blaming Cheteshwar Pujara after not going for a catch to dismiss Dean Elgar.

The second Test of the three-match series was tantalisingly poised after a marathon knock of 153 from Virat Kohli which led the fightback of the visitors in the game. India conceded the lead of only 28 runs which could’ve been a lot more if not for Virat’s innings. In the second innings, Jasprit Bumrah breathed fire by scalping Aiden Markram and Hashim Amla as the hosts were left reeling at 3/2. The pressure was on South Africa now as India threatened to make more inroads.

A chance goes begging

Though the legend of AB de Villiers arrived at the scene and once again took the attack to the Indian bowlers. His partner Dean Elgar though was struggling right through mostly against R Ashwin. He survived the tough part until the tea break and then returned more confident in the final session. But the untimely thunderstorm and lightning led to the surprising rain interruption.

The play resumed after an hour as the batsmen struggled to find the middle of the bat. Jasprit Bumrah, on the resumption, bowled a brute of a delivery to Elgar which rose on him and the left-hander edged. However, the ball went between Parthiv Patel and Cheteshwar Pujara who was at first slip. It was clearly evident that it was a keeper’s catch even as Parthiv blamed Pujara for not going after the catch. The skipper Kohli was livid after the incident as the chance went down begging.

Twitterati however, also realised that Parthiv had made a mistake and trolled him hilariously.
