Drink and drive have been a major concern in our country. Several messages have been circulated surrounding the consequences of the same. However, despite the iterations, youngsters in the nation repeat the act and subsequently, face the consequences. Several laws have been implemented surrounding the same in order to curb the mishaps, but the numbers haven’t come down much.
The 29th Road Safety Week is currently underway. Nitin Gadkari, the Union Road Transport Minister, inaugurated the same at the Vigyan Bhawan in New Delhi. Recently, Virat Kohli, the Indian skipper, has also expressed his concerns over the undesired incidents which pan out on the roads every day. He took to Twitter and talked about the gravity of the occurring.
Meanwhile, he also pledged to follow the traffic rules and urged others to abide by the regulations in order to stay safe. He also shared the message with a caption which read
“#RoadSafetyWeek, join me in taking a pledge to not be a danger on the road. @nitin_gadkari @MORTHIndia @Uber_India”

However, the video didn’t go down well with the common people. They also might be unhappy with the fact that the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) succumbed to yet another defeat in the Indian Premier League (IPL). Virat Kohli, who led the team, made some indifferent changes for which he had to pay a hefty price. His skills of captaincy were severely criticized thereafter.
He exhausted the quota of his premier bowlers and had little options to stem the run-flow from the willows of MS Dhoni and Dwayne Bravo. He introduced Corey Anderson, who hasn’t bowled much in T20s, in the death overs. The decision backfired miserably and RCB slumped to their fourth defeat in six games. Following his message, he became a recipient of some severe trolls.
Here are the reactions from the fans
