Australian cricket in turmoil at the moment. Their recent loss to the South Africa, by a hefty innings and 80 runs margin at Hobart, has drawn a lot of flak for the Australians. After losing 3-0 against Sri Lanka, The Australian fans hoped for some turnaround when a slightly depleted Proteas side arrived in Australia to play the three-match series.

But, unfortunately, there was no respite and their poor run continued. The South African pace bowling attack overwhelmed the home side greatly in both the games and took away the series honours. Quite obviously, the cricket fans are not amused with this winless five-match streak and there was a strong reaction.

One incident was witnessed today when a certain twitter user called Adam Burt mocked Openers Joe Burns, David Warner and last match’s debutant Callum Ferguson.

He wrote: “@joeburns441 @calferguson12 maybe your combined 5 runs @1.25 and 0 catches will look better on @davidwarner31 OLED TV? Looked shit on mine!!”

The tweets, not guess reached Warner who wasn’t impressed with it. But, instead of acting with anger, he decided to stay calm and replied with a simple message. He wrote: Thanks for your support Adam.

The tweets attracted some reaction and apart from a few, most of them in support of him and the team. Warner hasn’t performed bad, to be honest. Luck simply deserted him facing the high-quality fast bowling. A couple of spells he faced from Kagiso Rabada and Kyle Abbott were almost unplayable. Warner had a good start to the series hitting a 97 in the first innings at Perth but since then he has failed to make any substantial contribution to his team’s attempt to regain their pride.
