Team India announced the 12-member squad ahead of the second Test against Windies in Hyderabad and they have decided to retain the same group. Shardul Thakur is the 12th man once again and it seems that the captain Virat Kohli is keen on going in with the same side which played in Rajkot. However, Mayank Agarwal has been sidelined yet again and he might go to Australia without any experience in the middle now.

His India A opening partner Prithvi Shaw got a nod in Rajkot and he lit up the stage in the very first innings. Shaw went on to smash 134 runs and looked extremely confident during his stay in the middle. One would’ve felt even Agarwal will get his chance in the second Test just to get a feel of the highest level of cricket as important assignments await the team in the near future.

Agarwal shouldn’t be dropped now

Karun Nair recently travelled with the Indian team in England and was eventually dropped without getting even a chance. The same is being feared about Mayank Agarwal now and the fans believe that he shouldn’t be axed for the upcoming Australia tour. India is scheduled to face Australia in their own backyard in December in four Tests and it is supposed to be one of the best chances for them to win the series Down Under.

Agarwal is undoubtedly a talented player and Kohli spoke about giving longer ropes to the cricketer now. The opener will be definitely in the plans of the selectors but he should’ve got an opportunity to make a debut in India. It would’ve also eased his nerves a bit for him.

Meanwhile, Twitterati is left infuriated with the team management as they have benched the talented batsman once again. They felt that this was the best chance to try him out ahead of the crucial series and hoped that he isn’t dropped now without getting a chance.
