Hardik Pandya has received a lot of flak from the Indian fans after his recent conversation with Bollywood actor Parineeti Chopra on Twitter. The cricketer was involved in a friendly chat with the actress where he tried to get a little cheeky with her guessing the meaning of the tweet.

The all-rounder is currently in Sri Lanka with the Indian team and is preparing for the one-off T20I against the hosts on Wednesday. The match will conclude India’s tour during which the team did not lose even a single game in the Test and ODI series. Pandya has been a crucial part of the team for some time now in all the formats of the game and is only growing in stature.

What actually happened?

Last week, Parineeti posted a picture of a bicycle and along with it captioned a message for her followers. The actress seemed to be happy after a ride on the bicycle as her message read, “The perfect trip with the most amazing partner Love is in the air!!!”

Pandya cheekily replied to her tweet and wrote, “@ParineetiChopra Can I guess? I think this is a second Bollywood & Cricket link. Great click by the way.”

Soon after this message from the youngster, there were rumours of another blossoming romance between the cricketer and the diva. But the actress herself cleared the air by replying to Pandya’s tweet. She said, “Hahaha. Maybe. Maybe not. All I can say is that the clue is in the pic itself!!!”.

However, cricket fans did not seem to be amused with what unfolded as they suggested him to concentrate on cricket. While few recommended him to improve as a cricketer, others expressed that he is the only all-rounder in India and suggested him to keep his eyes on 2019.
