While Shanthakumaran Sreesanth was playing for India, many tipped him to become a great movie actor. At the time, S Sreesanth was a youngster who had burst onto the scene courtesy of some effervescent and aggressive bowling. Overseas, he had the pace and the aggression to strike down any batsman, something that made him supremely popular.

However, as luck would have it, injuries began to take its toll on the man from Kerala and he himself being dropped from the side. Of course, he has earned himself two World Cup medals, but, that too seemed to be a bridge too far when it came to cementing a place in the side.

The 2014 edition of the Indian Premier League was perhaps the biggest fall from fame as far as Sreesanth was concerned as evidence coupled with police probes and investigations found him guilty of match-fixing as well as his implication with other members of the Rajasthan Royals.

Since then, Sreesanth has managed to keep himself in the public eye by making his presence felt in the Kerala politics arena as well as his phenomenal dancing and playback singing prowess. However, of late, there has been something new to the whole S Sreesanth brand name.

A movie teaser released by his official Twitter handle sees him sitting on a bike with the movie titled “Team 5”. The caption for the same read: “Trailer coming soon…” While this is clearly a movie he will be playing a role in, it is also clear that he has indeed become one of the many cricketers who has become captivated and implicated in the Indian film industry bandwagon.

Twitter exploded with the same as many tweets directed at the teaser were, unfortunately digging up something on the pacer’s past life and the infamous match-fixing scandal.
