Ravindra Jadeja took the wicket of Dimuth Karunaratne of a no-ball in the ongoing second Test match against Sri Lanka. Both the teams played out a thrilling draw in Kolkata at the Eden Gardens last week. The pitch at VCA Stadium in Nagpur also had a tinge of green on it which helped the Indian seamers early on. However, Twitterati was in splits as Jadeja scalped the wicket of a batsman off a no-ball yet again.

Sri Lanka opted to bat first after winning the toss on a very good surface to bat which had a little bit of grass on it. But they were rocked early by Ishant Sharma as the opener Sadeera Samarawickrama edged a full delivery to the first slip. Since then, barring a couple of partnerships, the visitors never looked settled and lost wickets at regular intervals. The spin-twins Jadeja and R Ashwin were back to where they belonged and shared seven wickets between them as Sri Lanka were bowled out for just 205.

Twitterati reacts hilariously

The incident happened in the 26th over of the Indian innings when Ravindra Jadeja bowled a lovely slower delivery outside off as Karunaratne lunged forward for a defensive push and missed it completely. Wriddhiman Saha pounced on the chance and stumped him as the umpire went upstairs to confirm the dismissal. However, replays suggested that he had overstepped and the batsman was reprieved. Karunaratne went on to score 51 who was then on 21.

Twitterati trolled Sir Jadeja and was left wondering about the no-ball bowled by him. While some of the reminded the way India had paid for the no-ball in the past, few joked that Jaddu might create a world record of taking wickets off no-balls.

Jadeja though made up for his blunder and scalped three-wickets in the innings with some superb bowling.

Here’s how Twitter trolled Jaddu:
