Two England players in self-isolation after partying with Alex Hales

Earlier, Australia's Kane Richardson and New Zealand's Lockie Ferguson were also suspected with symptoms of the virus.

Pakistan Super League 2020 is one of the sports tournament which got cancelled in the wake of coronavirus. The tournament went to hosting the matches behind the closed doors. But, the widespread of the COVID-19 and growing warning throughout the world led to the mid-way cancellation of the league.

The knockout stages which got affected are likely to be rescheduled for sometime else. All the international players at the league had to fly back home. Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) tests on 128 players after the outbreak. All the tests were negative for the presence of the coronavirus.

Among the players who had to return home, Alex Hales tried self-isolation himself. The English batsman was playing for the Karachi Kings. Upon his arrival in the United Kingdom, the player was advised to stay at home and in quarantine space.

However, during that week, Tom Curran had celebrated his birthday with Hales. According to the recent reports, Curran, the Surrey all-rounder, has been advised to self isolate himself for the next two weeks. Another English player, Jade Dernbach who attended the party has been also told to isolate himself.

All three players will stay in isolation for the next two weeks while being monitored by the doctors. There are certain symptoms of the virus which have been found in the trio. Many other players who returned from PSL have self-isolated themselves. The list includes Darren Sammy, Chadwick Walton, Ben Cutting.

If tested positive, Tom Curran could miss out an opportunity to feature in the IPL 2020. The English all-rounder was picked up by Rajasthan Royals for INR 1 crore.

Earlier, Australia’s Kane Richardson and New Zealand’s Lockie Ferguson were also suspected with symptoms of the virus. Upon testing, the duo was cleared of any virus and was tested negative.

But, the series between New Zealand and Australia was called off. On the other hand, the ODI series between India and South Africa was also cancelled due to the global pandemic. Interestingly, the Indian Premier League 2020 has also been delayed due to the same. The tournament has been pushed till April 15. The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) has also suspended any professional cricket till the end of May.
