India’s world cup winning captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni’s Aadhar card details were leaked on twitter by an Aadhar centre out of over-enthusiasm. The cricketer’s wife, Sakshi Singh took notice of it and immediately complained about the same to Union Law and Information and Technology Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad on twitter.

The agency posted on their twitter handle two pictures saying “Ace cricketer Mahendra Singh Dhoni and his family get their Aadhaar updated at VLE Mariya Farooqui’s CSE at Ranchi, Jharkhand.” Prasad took the matter very seriously clearly pointing out that leaking personal details of someone is illegal. He also promised to take action against the Aadhar centre who allegedly leaked out the details of the superstar.

The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) now has blacklisted the Aadhar centre for 10 years for the illegal activity that did not go down well with Dhoni’s wife Sakshi. Sakshi was extremely disappointed about the fact that the details had been posted on a social media website and was quick to take action.

AB Pandey, the chief of UIDAI that acts as the nodal authority for Aadhar told news agency PTI on Wednesday that a probe would continue finding out how the details of the cricketer were tweeted by the official handle of the agency handling the enrollment process for the 12-digit identification number.

The action taken by the Unique Identification Authority of India was just a day later Ravi Shankar Prasad had promised Sakshi about looking into the matter. The Aadhar centre had posted two photographs on twitter one of which was the screenshot of the Jharkhand cricketer’s application form. The other picture tweeted was that of MS Dhoni with a CSC representative where the big hitter was getting his fingerprints scanned into the system.

The pictures went viral on social media very quickly and people are now doubting the security and privacy over the Aadhar.
