A 29-year-old English club cricketer David Hymers has been arrested for getting involved in a shameful set of activities. Hymers has been arrested by police for sending explicit messages to school girls and has been sentenced for three years community order under the sex offender program. The shocking turn of events came up in front of his teammates only when paedophile hunters confronted him.
The club cricketer was confronted in front of his teammates only before two policemen arrested him from the Tynemouth Cricket Club ground. Before the arrival of law officers, Hymers was interrogated by the members of the undercover organization’s Guardian of the North. His fellow cricketers got shocked when the head of the organization stated that he needs to be questioned about his online activities.
“The police are on their way,” he was informed by the group after interrogation. After the two policemen took him off the ground, he accepted being involved in two of his charges. He accepted of being involved in a sex chat after he was misled to believe that he was in conversation with a 13 and 14-year-old teenage girl.
The cricketer knew it was illegal and yet continued his online chat
As per the reports by The Mirror, it came to the fore that fake accounts of teenage girls were created by the Guardians to hunt the online predators. The Prosecutor Andrew Espley informed the New Castle United Court that defamed cricketer always used to initiate conversations like-
“Hey, that’s a nice top, did you get it on sale because it’s 100 percent off at my place. He said he would extend the offer to their pants,” Espley added.
Hymers was convicted of his actions last August after it was found out that he plays cricket for the local team too. He used to use the fake name of ‘Hugh’ in the online conversation and was made aware that the girls are underage and yet he continued his explicit chat in the same manner.
“They turned up, they spoke to him, they called the police and Mr. Hymers was arrested,” Espley added.
