India suffered a shock defeat at the hands of the home side when they lost the fourth ODI by a slender margin of 11 runs. Chasing a low target of 190, the Indian batting line-up could not combat against a robust bowling performance led by skipper Jason Holder. The Indian bowlers did a splendid job with Umesh Yadav being the pick of the bowlers returning with 3/36.
Teams have now travelled to Jamaica where they will play the last ODI of the series followed by a one-off T20. They had three days to travel and recuperate from the fatigue. Indian spearhead Umesh Yadav was seen having a great time during the rest days. He updated a picture on his Instagram account where the Vidarbha lad is seen holding two massive lobsters. While the colossal size of the lobsters sent shivers down the spine of a few fans but others couldn’t resist sending funny comments for the picture.
One follower, who still isn’t over India’s defeat against Pakistan in the CT finals two weeks ago said: “Bhai ye kaam final me krta to.or Maza aata”. Another fan sent a similar comment, not happy with Umesh’s performance in the finals: “Poor performance in CT 2017 final and playing with the beasts.” One user compared Umesh’s picture to a console game named resident evil: “Resident evil. We can all guess what comes next”. One of the followers wrote: “Look like alien vs predator scene…”
“you have no feelings for these animals… its not cool man”, “What the heck are you doing??? How can you torture some animal like this”, “Are kabhi bowling pe bhi dhyan diya kro”, “Taking someone’s life is not cool. Shame on you” are some of the comments.
Yadav has bowled well in the series. In 3 innings, the 29-year old has picked 4 wickets at an economy rate of 4.52. The fast bowler has been in great form especially during the long Test season where he ended up being the top wicket taker after Ashwin and Jadeja. The long season also helped him mature as a bowler which is paying rich dividends even in ODI cricket.
