This World T20 is the first world event where teams have been asked to avoid wearing similar colours as their opposition. Three of the teams have been assigned two different colours to avoid clashes. When Bangladesh played Netherlands they were okay in green but against Ireland they wore a jersey that was predominantly red. Similarly, two other teams – Sri Lanka and Scotland – have two different outfits.
Sri Lanka has a yellow “away” outfit, which we might expect to see if they take on India in the semi-final or final. South Africa’s Twenty20 kit is a mix of green and yellow, which saves them a potential clash with Pakistan; and while Australia play T20 in black, New Zealand has opted for a mainly beige jersey this time around. The Blackcaps Women will sport the pink shade on the black kit.
The Three Lions (England) players will also don new colors for the World T20. They will step out in the tournament in “Blood Red Color”. England’s kit makers Adidas named the jersey “Adidas UK T20 Shirt” which received a mixed response from the fans.
India has also unveiled their new kit which looks bold, with a contemporary striped pattern. The jersey makers Nike wish to express the excitement and responsibility the players feel when representing their country. The jersey comes with lots of nice features and has a modern aesthetic and laminated modern collar with newly-moulded BCCI crest. The tri-colour also gets an evolved look on the jersey. While four-way stretch pants include articulated patterning on the knee to withstand aggressive play.
The jersey of Pakistan cricket team for mega event of is not so different from current ODI and T20 jersey. A 3D star in printed and the color is also almost same. Pakistani players will wear a shiny green color jersey in the World T20.
