The Round 12 game of the Vijay Hazare trophy 2019 between Madhya Pradesh and Jammu & Kashmir will be hosted by Jaipuria Vidyalaya Ground in Jaipur
The match starts at 9:00 AM local time (IST) (3:30 AM GMT).
Jammu and Kashmir shrugged off the two consecutive defeats and got past Bihar in their previous game. They will now face Madhya Pradesh in their penultimate league game and will have to win both the games to have even a slim chance of making it to the knockouts. Batting clicked big time for J&K against Bihar as they scored 326 runs and then kept picking wickets before rain intervened.
Madhya Pradesh are below J&K in the points table having won only two matches out of six. They are also in a must-win situation with three games to go including this one. They have been pretty inconsistent so far this season alternately winning the games. MP’s last match against Bengal was washed out which earned them a point as well and now will be hoping to put up a good show against J&K.
No rain is in the forecast in Jaipur on Thursday. The temperature will hover around 28-34 Degrees Celsius according to AccuWeather and the sun is expected to be out for the whole day during the match.
The scores have been pretty inconsistent this season at the Jaipuria Vidyalaya ground with one of the three available strips producing score over 260. The other surfaces haven’t witnessed big scores so far. It will be interesting to see which kind of pitch MP and JK get for this match. The team winning the toss is expected to bat first.
Average first innings score: 224 (10 matches this season at the venue)
