Virat Kohli seeks help from Ajinkya Rahane after getting married

Having recently got married, Kohli seeks help from his teammate for off-field affairs as well.

Indian skipper Virat Kohli has been the talk of the town ever since he asked for rest from the ODI and T20I series against Sri Lanka. The speculations of his marriage secretly were doing the rounds all this while. He was in a relationship with Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma for a long time now. With rumours making noise, Anushka Sharma’s spokesperson had denied any such occasion.

On 11th of December, the news broke into the media and it was the confirmation both their fans were eagerly waiting for. Both Kohli and Sharma used micro-blogging site Twitter where they announced that they have tied the knot in Italy. The marriage took place in a luxury resort where after various rituals as per traditions the couple tied the knot in presence of their close family members and friends.

Pictures from the marriage started to surface on social media from the various ceremonies leading to the marriage. From fans to celebrities, wishes poured in from all quarters. India Test side’s vice-captain Ajinkya Rahane too was not behind as he congratulated the skipper and welcomed him to the married players club.

Rahane’s tweet:

Once he got hold of the situation, the 29-year-old answered the wishes he got from friends and other important people on Twitter. Replying to the tweet from his teammate Rahane, Kohli sought his help. Since the Mumbaikar got married in 2014.

Kohli’s reply:

Earlier during a chat show “Breakfast with Champions” hosted by Gaurav Kapur, Kohli had said that Zaheer Khan was one of the best people to ask for relationship advice. It was Zaheer who had told Kohli not to hide the relationship, instead be open about it. “I’m actually very grateful that my first interaction about this was with Zak. And he told me the right thing to do so I’ve followed it ever since,” he had said

The couple is now set to host their friends in two separate receptions, one in Kohli’s hometown Delhi and another in Mumbai.
