Virat Kohli is a great human being apart from all his heroics on the field. The fact that many current and former cricketers respect him for that aspect is a testament to it and the example of the same was once again visible on Thursday. The former England cricketer Kevin Pietersen admires him a lot and the superhit duo got engaged in a friendly duel on Twitter which has left the fans in splits.
The Indian captain posted a picture of himself wearing a T-shirt and the shorts sitting in the sun on his official Twitter account and captioned it as, “Basking in the Sun.” The picture, however, depicted something different as Kohli was covered by the shade as well. Interestingly, Pietersen picked the same to pull his Indian friend funnily and highlighted how Kohli is sitting more in the shade and not in the sun.
Virat Kohli normally refrains himself from interacting with anyone on social media. But, to everyone’s surprise, he responded to Kevin Pietersen to continue the banter. The 30-year-old pointed out that his face is still in the sun and is entitled to stay firm on his caption.
Here’s Kohli’s post:

Kohli basking in New Zealand
After a successful Australia tour under Virat Kohli, the Indian team is now keen to conquer New Zealand. They have already taken the first step towards the same by ending their win drought in the Kiwi nation by winning the first of the five-match ODI series. The captain himself led the way in the chase by scoring 40-odd runs and would be looking stamp his authority in the next couple of matches.
The selectors have decided to rest him for the last two games of the series and even the three T20 International which will follow keeping the World Cup in mind.
Here’s the thread of the banter:
Looks a bit like you’re more in the shade, bro! 😂
