Virat Kohli creates another record, notches up 100th List A Fifty

Team India skipper Virat Kohli is having a brilliant run on the cricket field. The Indian captain has been in tremendous form over the last couple of years. He has been playing consistently well across the three formats of the game. Under his able leadership, the Indian team is thriving big time, and has become the team to beat in the world cricket.
Leading from the front, Virat Kohli has been shattering cricketing records at will. The stylish cricketer has as many as 39 ODI centuries to his name, and averages in excess of 50 in the ODI format of the game. In his most recent appearance for the national side, Kohli notched up another fifty, and entered the record books yet again.
He joined the elite list of players comprising of Rahul Dravid and MS Dhoni, to have scored 100 or more List A fifties in his career. The rate at which the Indian captain is smashing records, it will not be surprising to see this number increase in the times to come. Kohli entered this elite list during his knock of 60 that came off 74 balls against New Zealand in the third ODI of the ongoing series against New Zealand.
Excellent run of form in the lead up to ICC World Cup 2019
Virat Kohli’s stellar run of form is a big plus for the Indian team that is trying to strike balance for the coveted ICC World Cup 2019. Going in to the tournament, the Indian side is expected to be billed as one of the pre-tournament favourites, and their skipper Virat, will have the limelight on him.
Recently, Virat Kohli had bagged all three top honours at the ICC Awards 2018. He was awarded the ICC Test Cricketer of the Year, the ICC ODI cricketer of the Year, and had received Sir Garfield Sobers Cricketer of the Year as well. He became the first cricketer to sweep all three prestigious awards in the same calendar year. If he continues his good form in the World Cup, he might pretty well bag a plethora of awards next year too!
