Indian skipper Virat Kohli is currently gearing up for the Mumbai Test against New Zealand, all set to commence on December 03. In the latest turn of events, he shared a small clip of doing an intense workout in the gym. Kohli, who was rested from the T20I series and Kanpur Test against NZ, is expected to come up in full form for the 2nd game in Mumbai.

Kohli, these days is seen working out and practicing in nets to gear up for the second Test. It has to be noted that the Indian skipper recently stepped down from the T20I captaincy after the team’s run in the T20 WC in order to manage his workload better. Before the same, he announced that 2021 would be his last season leading his IPL franchise RCB.

The picture he posted on Twitter had the caption by Denzel Washington, – “Ease is a greater threat to progress than hardship.”

Virat Kohli would be eager to make a strong comeback

It is known to all that Kohli has been missing his golden touch for a long time now and a century last came from his bat in 2019. As Kohli will step up on Wankhede Stadium on December 03, fans would be expecting a great show from the batting master’s end. In the latest turn of events, his great on and off-field friend AB de Villiers announced his all-format retirement and the Indian skipper came with a heartfelt note for him.

Both AB and Kohli played together for a long time for RCB and many of their partnerships gave bowlers severe headaches. It remains to be seen who will lead RCB in the 2022 edition of IPL which will see two additional teams fighting for the glory.

“To the best player of our times and the most inspirational person I’ve met, you can be very proud of what you’ve done and what you’ve given to RCB my brother. Our bond is beyond the game and will always be. In another tweet, Virat wrote, “This hurts my heart but I knew you’ve made the best decision for yourself and your family as you’ve always done. I love you,” Kohli wrote for departing AB de Villiers.
