It has been an upward journey for Avesh Khan since making his Ranji debut for Madhya Pradesh against Railways in 2014-15 season. Khan was also a part of the India U19 side that went on to play the World Cup 2014 in UAE. Seen as an exciting pace prospect in Indian cricket, the 23-year-old has represented two franchises so far in the Indian Premier League– Royal Challengers Bangalore and Delhi Capitals.

Avesh Khan has played only eight IPL games so far and has scalped five wickets. However, that does not rule out the possibility of him becoming the ‘next big thing’ of Delhi Capitals’ bowling force. Avesh was set to don the jersey of the Delhi-based franchise in IPL 2020. However, the coronavirus outbreak has put the tournament to a standstill and all cricketers are left with no option but to interact with their fans on the social media.

While many cricketers have resorted to Twitter Question & Answer sessions, others have taken the Instagram live path to stay connected with their fans. Avesh also joined the trend and the pacer was involved in an Instagram live with CricTracker where he answered a plethora of questions.

Avesh Khan considers MS Dhoni as his role model

It is common for an individual to have inspiration in the sport which he plays. When Avesh was asked about his inspiration, the pacer picked the name of MS Dhoni. Regarded as one of the most successful skippers in international cricket, the Chennai Super Kings skipper has been a role model for many young players who are eager to burst out on the international scene.

The pacer had also shared the dressing room with RCB’s two stalwarts– AB de Villiers and Virat Kohli. When Avesh was asked to pick the tougher batsman to bowl against, he picked AB de Villiers’ name. Regarded as ‘Mr 360′, the South African maestro has uprooted many bowling lineups during his IPL career.

Avesh was also asked about the best captain under whom he has played so far. The speedster picked the name of Delhi Capitals’ skipper Shreyas Iyer. The appointed of a young skipper– Shreyas Iyer– has proved beneficial for the Delhi franchise so far. Iyer played a pivotal role in Capitals’ finishing third in the IPL 2019 points table. Furthermore, the Mumbai batsman has been doing wonders for Team India while cementing the No.4 batting spot.

Apart from questions about his cricket preferences, Avesh also spilt beans over his personal life as well. After being asked about his favourite actress, he chose the name of Katrina Kaif.
