Virat Kohli was in jovial mood after leading Team India to an impressive six-wicket win over Australia in the second ODI at The Adelaide Oval. The reason behind Kohli’s cheerful mood was obvious. The India skipper played a stunning knock to lead the team to an emphatic victory over Australia in a must-win second ODI in Adelaide.

Leading the three-match series, Australia won the toss and decided to bat first. The decision seemed to have backfired initially as both their openers departed in quick succession with just 26 runs on the board. However, in-form Shaun Marsh went on to score his fourth century in last eight ODIs to take Australia to a challenging total of 298 for 9, it gave them 10 runs more than what the first ODI that they’d won by 34 runs.

But the score did not turn out to be enough in the end as India won the game by six wickets with four balls remaining. Kohli was the architect of the win, slamming 104 to help India level the three-match series. While doing so, Kohli became the first India skipper to score an ODI century on the Australian soil. MS Dhoni also played a fine knock of unbeaten 55. The series will now be decided on January 18 when both the teams lock horns in the third and final ODI at the Melbourne Cricket Ground.

Post match fun:

With the mood in the camp upbeat, spinner Yuzvendra Chahal invited Kohli for an interview. The BCCI released the video while calling it ‘Chahal TV’. Kohli was in high spirits and hilariously revealed that one needs to score a century or pick five wickets to appear on Chahal TV as the spinner could not stop laughing at his skipper’s comments.

In the interview, Chahal asked him about the hundred, how he plans a chase, batting with Dhoni and their plans in the chase.
