Kohli recently took to Twitter to share a picture of his with Shankar Basu. He referred to him as ‘The Boss’ and posted a selfie at the gym. The picture was captioned “Workout with the Boss!”.

Basu recently bagged a two-year contract from the board along with the other support staff. This will keep him associated with the team till the 2019 ICC Cricket World Cup along with head coach Ravi Shastri. Team India has a gruelling schedule in the next two years as they are set to spend most of their time travelling away from home. While Kohli’s ability as a captain will be tested in the process, coach Ravi Shastri believes that the current team will do wonders in the recent times.

The team is currently in Sri Lanka to play a full fledged series against the Sri Lankans which will see the two teams battle it out in all three formats of the game. The visitors have already started the tour with a bang by picking up a thumping victory in the First Test at Galle. The second Test will be played at the SSC stadium in Colombo and the hosts will look to bounce back. However, the Indians will go into the match as the firm favourites.
