For the fourth year in a row, Indian captain Virat Kohli has scored most international runs in a calendar year. He essayed 2455 runs and is the only batsman to maintain an average of 50+ in all three formats of the game. Currently, the Indian skipper was spotted spending some quality time off the field with his better half Anushka Sharma in Switzerland.
Kohli often keeps his fans engaged on social media with latest episodes. He recently lauded superstar and veteran actor Amitabh Bachchan for being conferred with the Dada Saheb Phalke award. Amitabh Bachchan received the award on Sunday (December 29) at the Rashtrapati Bhavan in New Delhi by President of India Ram Nath Kovind for his productive contribution to Indian cinema for decades.

A day after megastar Amitabh Bachchan was felicitated with the prestigious Dada Saheb Phalke award, Virat Kohli congratulated the veteran actor. Taking to his Twitter handle, Virat Kohli wrote, “Congratulations Amitabh Bachchan ji on being conferred the prestigious #DadaSahebPhalkeAward. Through your contribution to Indian cinema, you have been and still continue to be an inspiration to many. @SrBachchan #GreatestOfAllTime.”

Amitabh Bachchan received the award at Rashtrapati Bhavan on Sunday for his impeccable contribution to the Indian cinema industry and also became the 50th recipient of the iconic award.
The recognised actor in the Bollywood industry made his acting debut in 1969 with Saat Hindustani. He was felicitated with Padma Vibhushan, which is India’s second-highest civilian honour in 2015. Big B who was last seen spicing it up on the screen in Badla is the recipient of four National Film Awards for his roles in Agneepath, Black, Paa and Piku.
Meanwhile, Virat Kohli & his troops ended 2019 on a good note with a limited-overs series victory over Kieron Pollard-led West Indies recently. India are geared up for the next assignment against Sri Lanka where they will play 3 T20Is.
The first of the three-match T20I series is scheduled to be played on January 5, 2020, at Barsapara Cricket Stadium, Guwahati. Following home assignment against Sri Lanka, India will play three-match ODI series against Australia. The first ODI will be played at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai on January 14.
