The two play with a lot of intensity on the field and maintain that during practice as well.

Even though the Indian bowlers conceded 540-plus runs in the practice game versus Cricket Australia XI in Sydney last week, the visitors’ bowlers looked in good shape. A video showing the Indian team’s net session emerged on social media and in it, two of the finest players of the squad were seen sweating it out hard. One is captain Virat Kohli and the other, Mohammed Shami – one of the key members of India’s pace battery.
In the video taken from just behind the batsman, Shami is seen steaming in and bowls a quick and sharp bouncer to Kohli and the latter ducking at the right moment to let go the ball. He then collects the ball and throws it back to Shami and takes a stance for the next bowler. While Shami’s bouncer deserved a pat for its accuracy that forced the batsman to leave it, Kohli’s batting was also impressive as he kept his eyes on the ball till the last moment to leave it safe.
Here is the video of Shami’s perfect bouncer posted by ESPNCricinfo:

Kohli set to overtake Gavaskar & Tendulkar in Australia this time
Kohli had a successful outing in Tests against Australia last time he toured the country and is likely to better Sachin Tendulkar’s record of scoring most number of tons (six) by an Indian in Australia. Kohli has five centuries Down Under at the moment and is tied with another former great Sunil Gavaskar. Two three-figure knocks will see the 30-year-old go past two legends and that is something rare.
Shami, on the other hand, was the pick of the Indian bowlers against CA XI. He has taken 15 wickets in three Tests he played in Australia with the best of 5 for 112 in Sydney in 2015.
