Virat Kohli recently uploaded a video on Twitter in his cowboy avatar along with a young member of his family, using the popular iPhone filter. He can be seen enjoying his time on a break before he departs for the all important upcoming Champions Trophy in England.

The Indian skipper and his troops have been playing non-stop cricket since September last year as they were engaged in the grand home season of Test cricket. India hosted Australia, Bangladesh, England and New Zealand this season and came out victories in all the series’.

In between these series, Indians were also engaged in ODI and T20 action against New Zealand and England this season as they clinched all the limited-overs series’ as well. Virat Kohli then captained the Royal Challengers Bangalore side in the ongoing IPL after a short break due to the shoulder injury he picked up during the Ranchi Test against Australia.

Prior to the start of the tournament, RCB was considered the leading contender to clinch the IPL Trophy. But the team shocked one and all this season with their dismal performance this season. On the contrary, they ended up at the bottom of the table as they managed to win only three games in the tournament. As a result, a dejected Kohli took to Twitter to apologise to RCB’s fans for their performance.

The next major assignment for VK is to lead a star-studded Indian line-up in the Champions Trophy in England and Wales, which starts in a weeks time.

The early exit of his side in the IPL may be comprehended as a boon in disguise for the Indian team as it gives the skipper a much-needed break ahead of the all-important Champions Trophy.
