Virender Sehwag was always one of the cricketers who keep on entertaining the fans with his funny, witty and straight forward tweets. However, this time, it was for a serious cause that, Sehwag took on the microblogging site Twitter.
He said that if the reports mentioned in the image he posted are to be believed, India has 4% of rapes reported per 1,00,000 women. He pointed that it should come down to 0%. “If source of these stats of Rapes r true,it proves dat propaganda of maligning India has2 stop.May our figure bcum 0,” wrote Sehwag on his Twitter handle.

The fans joined him in sharing their views regarding Rape in India. Here are some of the tweets:
@virendersehwag reported no. rapes are far lesser than actual no. of rapes. The victim fears societal ostracism most in India, I presume

@virendersehwag we should look for zero level harassment for women. Why compare and happy with data. Fact is still women get harassed.

@virendersehwag Rape is a serious crime that shouldn't be brushed under the carpet. It's rampant in India and needs to be addressed.

@virendersehwag hope for the same, but sir it can be seen other way also, people report it in other countries believing in justice.

@virendersehwag sir even if it's true we shouldn't be happy, just because h'humari kameez tumse jyada safed hai' it should be absolute zero!

Earlier, the Twitter battle between Sehwag and Piers Morgan has gone into a different height as this is probably one of the longest exchange of words between two people in the Twitter world.
Sehwag also made another tweet declaring his decision to turn down the request to feature in the popular debate show Newshour by Arnab Goswami. Sehwag said that he didn’t wish to give any airtime to both Piers Morgan and Arnab Goswami.
Arnab Goswami wants me to speak on that British guys views on India on NewsHour, but that man doesnt deserve any airtime, hence I have denied

To which, Morgan responded saying:
You mean you bottled it. I would too if I had to defend India's Olympic record. ? https://t.co/7KKkCHcJPF
