Virender Sehwag fulfills wrestler Sakshi Malik's wish of meeting him

India’s sporting pride Sakshi Malik fulfilled her wish to meet Virender Sehwag after the Nawab of Najafagrh himself invited her to his place. She had expressed her desire to meet him just a day ago through a tweet.

Virender Sehwag shared the great news with his followers soon after catching up with her. Obviously, just like any other of his tweets, there was a hint of humor in this one too. But, whatever it maybe, it was great to see him oblige to her request so quickly.

It was only yesterday when the freestyle wrestler tweeted in a quite formal manner asking Sehwag for his time to meet him.

– ‘@virendersehwag Good morning sir , I want to meet u , please tell me time, when u feel convenient,today or tomorrow, Sakshi malik’

Viru Paaji, as expected, immediately agreed to meet her but with a condition.

He wrote – “Sure ,will let you know the time. Hope you won’t start wrestling with me, Sakshi.”

Sehwag followed the games quite closely and had also praised the Haryana wrestler after she opened India’s medal tally by winning Bronze in the 58kg freestyle wrestling. She was one of the only two medallists from India this year (the other being PV Sindhu).

Sehwag took this as an opportunity to spread a very important message pointing out at the importance of girl child. He said, “When the going gets tough, it’s our girls who get going & save our pride.”

Sakshi definitely proved his point correct. There’s no doubt that she will be seen as the inspiration for all the future athletes, especially from the fairer gender.
