The former Indian cricketer Virender Sehwag has loved the way Bhuvneshwar Kumar has bowled in the ongoing first Test match against South Africa in Cape Town. The new-ball bowler exploited the demons in the wicket and scalped three top-order wickets of the hosts to rattle them early in the game. He was absolutely unplayable at the start with the pitch responding to his impeccable line and length bowling. However, Viru was up for the game and was thrilled with the way he saw the action unfold at Newlands in the first session.
India, against all the odds, dropped Ajinkya Rahane preferring Rohit Sharma in the line-up and also handed over a debut to Jasprit Bumrah. They were off to a memorable start after losing the toss as Bhuvi ran through the top order of their opposition. Though he wasn’t supported well by at the other end by Mohammad Shami who looked a pale shadow of himself. Bhuvi scalped the likes of Dean Elgar, Aiden Markram and Hashim Amla as there were the cat among the pigeons in the South African camp.
Viru’s tweet for Bhuvi
Virender Sehwag is often known for his witty messages on social media and keeps his followers entertained and busy. He loved the brilliant swinging skills of Bhuvneshwar and hoped that India would capitalise on a superb start. His tweet read, “Wow! This is real. Khatarnaak sruff from Bhuvi. Hope we capitalise on this great start.
#IndvSA.” The latter half of the tweet from him had some sense as India have been often guilty of giving away such good starts in away conditions. Even the fans would be hoping that the Indian team wins this Test after such a dream start.
Here’s Sehwag’s tweet:

South Africa, however, seems to have recovered from the early blows as the experienced duo of Faf du Plessis and AB de Villiers have stitched a brilliant partnership. The latter especially was more enterprising as he launched the counter punch on the most successful bowler of the day. They are currently looking very comfortable as the home side is nearing 100 very quickly in the first session itself.
