Virender Sehwag picks his favorite wicket-keeper in world cricket

Former Indian cricketer Virender Sehwag has been ruling the social media with his witty remarks and trending tweets. In the last couple of years, the former Indian opener has managed to make a name for himself in the social media. He has emerged as one of the most active celebrities on the micro blogging site Twitter. To ensure that he lives up to the new role, he often interacts with his fans on the social media.

Recently, he invited his fans to come up with questions with the hashtag of ‘AskViru’. The fans gave a good response to the interaction and turned up with some very exciting questions. Among the various questions that managed to catch the attention of the viewers, a question revolving the personal choices of Virender Sehwag seemed quite interesting.

A fan asked Sehwag to pick his favorite wicket keeper in the world cricket. Without wasting much time, Sehwag was quick to take the name of the veteran Indian wicket keeper MS Dhoni. The answer does sound a little unusual considering the on and off relationship Sehwag had shared with MS Dhoni.

While there have been no direct talks about the relationships between the two star cricketers, there were a lot of rumors about a rift between them. Almost a decade ago, many blamed MS Dhoni for bringing a premature halt to Sehwag’s career. But time and again, both Sehwag and Dhoni have spoken good about one another. They have never shown any disrespect or disregard towards one another.

In fact, in the 2016 biopic release of MS Dhoni, which was titled, ‘MS Dhoni – The Untold Story’, a scene depicted this episode wherein the media were shown to be spoiling the relationship between the two cricketers by cooking up stories. Certainly, it was a good effort to bring an end to all the speculations of the possible fight between the two legends of the game.
