Team India will tour for an overseas Test tour to England in August 2018. Indian skipper Virat Kohli and their men will be tested at the abroad conditions especially considering the team’s recent performances in the UK. However, the current No.1 Test side will aim to do well in the tour.

Former Indian opener Virender Sehwag attended the book launch of ‘Eleven Gods and A Billion Indians’ in Kolkata last night. The dashing cricketer opined that India is favorites to life the upcoming World Cup. He also added that the current Indian Test side has the capability to win Test series abroad.

“We are favorites to win the 2019 World Cup. This team has the capability to win Test series outside India. We could have won the first or second Test (about the recent SA Test series) if we played one session well with the bat,” said Sehwag according to quotes on Times of India.

Asked if this bowling attack is the best till date, Sehwag said, “In our days, we had (Javagal) Srinath, Zaheer (Khan), (Ajit) Agarkar and Ashish (Nehra). But they rarely got to play together and when they did we reached the final in the 2003 World Cup. This lot is really good. They can deliver in any conditions.”

Sehwag as the mentor of KXIP

Virender Sehwag is currently receiving huge praises for picking Chris Gayle in the Kings XI Punjab side in the IPL 2018 Auction. It was Sehwag, who picked the world boss when no other team opted to have him. His move gave KXIP two brilliant wins against two dominant sides CSK and SRH.

Kings XI Punjab will next play against Kolkata Knight Riders at the historic Eden Gardens today. The team management would want the world boss to explode, which will help them in propelling on the points table.
