Virender Sehwag never misses out on cashing in with a witty tweet whenever an opportunity beckons. The former Indian cricketer has made a name for himself in the social media space. With his hilarious digs on the social media, he has been an entertainer off the field. Sehwag is known for his hilarious tweets that are pun heavy and loaded with sarcasm. His fans often look up to his tweets for the birthday wishes that he reserves for his fellow cricketers.

This time, Virender Sehwag sent his birthday greetings to Pakistan pace bowler Junaid Khan. However, much to the surprise of everyone, Sehwag had a very simple and a sarcasm free birthday wish for the quickie. The last time a cricketer had received an ordinary tweet birthday wish from Virender Sehwag was Gautam Gambhir getting a simple wish on his birthday.

In a very sweet gesture, Virender Sehwag tweeted the birthday wish to Junaid and also wished for a speedy national comeback for the quickie. He wrote, “Happy Birthday @JunaidkhanREAL . Wish you a comeback soon.”

Interestingly, Junaid Khan has the distinction of having the upper hand when it comes to on-field clash between the two. Junaid Khan managed to dismiss Sehwag during the first ODI between India and Pakistan when the two sides met in Chennai in 2012. Junaid had cleaned up Sehwag on 4 and eventually bagged 4/43 in the match. Despite MS Dhoni scoring a century in the match, India lost the match by 6 wickets.

It is only heartening to see the two cricketers sharing a good connection off the field now. Junaid is yet to reply to the birthday wish by Sehwag. It will be interesting to see how Junaid will reply back to the tweet. For the moment, the fans of the former Indian cricketer are wondering why Sehwag did not use any of his witty one-liners to wish the Pakistani quickie.
