Virender Sehwag shares a video of locust attack in Gurugram

India is probably reaching its peak as far as Coronavirus cases is concerned. The count of registered cases crossed 5 lakh on Friday with more than 18000 people contracting the virus in a day for the first time. But that is not the only problem country is facing at the moment. Swarms of locust has been attacking the crops in various part of the nation and on Saturday, it reached Gurugram which is situated in southwest of New Delhi.

The Delhi government held an emergency meeting following the attack of locust in Gurugram and is set to take the measures to deal with the situation. Delhi’s Environment Minister Gopal Rai stated that the government will be soon issuing advisory for the public to take care of themselves and the crops. Meanwhile, former India cricketer Virender Sehwag’s also experienced also experienced locust attack it seems.

The cricketer took to his official Twitter handle to share the video of the same on Saturday afternoon. It could be seen clearly that the swarm of locusts has taken over in Gurugram. It is being speculated that the locusts attacked his house as well.

Virender Sehwag confined to home since March

Meanwhile, even Virender Sehwag has also been confined to home since March due to the ongoing pandemic. He was supposed to commentate in the 2020 edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL). But the tournament has been postponed until further notice due to COVID-19 even as the BCCI is pondering different options to organise the tournament this year.

Before sharing the locust attack video, Sehwag had also shared a video of a five-year-old kid operating the JCB and applauded him. However, the former cricketer also cautioned everyone to not try and operate it at such a young age.

“JCB ko khudaai karte dekh,aap bhi bahut ruke honge, bheed banayi.hogi. But isse behtar kuch mahi dukha abhi tak. Talent + self- belief. If you think you can or you cannot, you are right. Wouldn’t advice anyone to try this at a young age, but just can’t stop applauding,” he captioned the video with this tweet.
