Former Indian cricketer Virender Sehwag continues to make the news on social media. This time he had a special request for Ravindra Jadeja. Jadeja’s heroics with both bat and ball saw India win the Mohali Test to take a 2-0 lead in the series. Sehwag was surely mighty pleased with the effort of the Saurashtra lad.

Jadeja was named the Man of the Match for his efforts and was awarded one lakh rupees as the reward. Virender Sehwag was quick to take to micro-blogging site Twitter to troll his fellow teammate. The former Indian tweeted in his witty style and related the demonetization crisis with Jadeja’s performance.

The Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi had recently announced the defunctioning of notes of 500 and 1000 as legal tender. The introduction of new 2000 notes was welcomed by all but has posed a new problem. Not many people get the change in return for the 2000 rupee notes. Sehwag was witty enough to take a subtle dig at this.

He congratulated Jadeja and then asked him to transfer some money to his account. He remarked that it is hard to find change for 2000 rupees for some people. At the same time, there are others like Jadeja who are being credited one lakh in their Paytm wallets.

A jovial Virender Sehwag tweeted, “Wah Jaddu Bhai ! Hamare paas toh 2000 ke chhutte nahi hai aur aap @Paytm mein 1 Lakh le gaye. Thoda hamare Paytm mein bhi transfer kijiye.” Ravindra Jadeja is yet tot respond to it but Sehwag surely nailed it yet again with his humour.

Sehwag and his love for Twitter is not unknown. He is best known for taking subtle digs at his fellow cricketers. Sehwag does not shy away from trolling any cricketer on trending issues. His most famous Twitter banter was with the British journalist Piers Morgan. The duo now share a very healthy rivalry on the social media and often take digs at one another.
