Virender Sehwag and his antics have hit an all-time high. Sehwag made his commentary debut in the recently concluded World T20 2016 and found himself flanking some of the bowlers he has decimated in the past. Brett Lee and Shoaib Akhtar loathed bowling to the former Indian opener. However, even after announcing their respective retirements, Sehwag still makes the two former pacers his bunnies. Shoaib Akhtar, in particular, is on the receiving end for the most part.

The Indians won their Sultan Azlan Shah Cup encounter against the arch rivals 5-1. While the result witnesses the Indians solidify their spot in the qualification for the Olympics in Rio, Virender Sehwag seized the opportunity to poke fun at Akhtar. A brace from SV Sunil and a customary dragflick from Rupinder Pal Singh saw the Indians overwhelm the Pakistanis 5-1.

Along with a screenshot of the result, Sehwag’s tweet read: “Sorry @shoaib100mph bhai hockey mai bhi mauka haath se nikal gaya #IndBeatsPak”

However, despite his obvious funny exchange with Akhtar, an apology from Sehwag came almost immediately. “Sorry Shoaib bhai hockey mein bhi mauka haath se nikal gaya (sorry brother Shoaib, even in hockey the mauka has evaded you), Sehwag tweeted.” It also cannot be helped to think that the ‘Mauka’ comment has come in reference of the advertisements released by Star Sports during the 2015 World Cup in Australia.

The 40-year-old Akhtar however, took all of Viru’s antics sportingly. “Whatever my brother Viru say he’s forgiven..bcoz he has a heart of gold and he doesn’t mean bad but he’s funny I’ll give him that…” Shoaib replied.”
