Former Indian cricketer Virender Sehwag is never short on wits on the social media. In the last year or so, he has emerged as one of the crowd favorites on Twitter. During his playing days, he was known for bashing the bowlers with his flamboyant batting style. After his retirement from the game, he is trolling people off the field by coming up with witty digs and trolls. He has become a household name for the Twitterati and it comes as no surprise that he bags a news headline or two every day for his tweets.

Virender Sehwag is best known for his special customised birthday wishes which are loaded with heavy pun and sarcasm. His most recent victim was Indian middle order Test batsman Cheteshwar Pujara. Pujara celebrated his 29th birthday on January 25 this year. On the special occasion, Sehwag had reserved a special birthday wish for him. He trolled Pujara’s sluggish nature of play. Pujara is not one of the hard hitters of the cricket ball.

He is more of someone who holds the fort from one end and piles on a marathon of runs. Needless to say, he is the mainstay of the Indian middle order in Test cricket along with Virat Kohli. However, Sehwag found a good way to troll Pujara for his slow and never ender nature of play. Pujara is known for playing long innings and hence Sehwag compared Pujara’s game to a grandmother’s story, which ceases to have no ended.

He also added a totally irrelevant movie line after that by replacing a word in the line with Pujara. On Cheteshwar Pujara’s birthday, Virender Sehwag wrote, “Happy Birthday @cheteshwar1 Pujara . May your batting continue like Dadi Amma’s story ,never ending. Zindagi Na Milegi Pujara !”

This is not the first time Sehwag has left a special birthday wish. Time and again he keeps on coming up with such wishes for his fellow players of the game.
