Virender Troller Sehwag, the former Indian opener was never quite an outwardly extrovert character in his public life while he represented India in international cricket. But since his retirement, Sehwag has turned things upside down and never refrains from expressing himself now. Virender Sehwag tweets about all the current affairs, historic events and wishes one and all he knows on Twitter.

He is quirky, uncanny and has such a relation with his friends and former teammates that he doesn’t need to think twice before writing anything while wishing them on their birthdays. Today, by far he has posted three tweets, two of them to wish his wife Arti on her birthday, his sister Anju and then about Vijay Diwas.

Yes, of course there was the mandatory funny line. He recalled the Bollywood flick from 2002, 16 December and told his wife that she already has a movie on her birthday. Then there was the lovely part. He also mentioned that these days only lucky people find true love and a 100 rupee note.

“Happy Birthday Biwi ji @AartiSehwag . #16December ,already a movie on your date of birth. Sachha pyaar aur 100 ka note Mushkil Se milta hai.”

His sister Anju has played a substantial role in his life; she helped him climb through the tough phases of his life quite smoothly being there besides him. He acknowledged her support while wishing her.

In the journey of life, sisters are the escalators that make the climb easier. Thank you Anju Didi, wish you a very Happy Birthday.

Today is also the 45th anniversary of Vijay Diwas when the Indian Army fought against Pakistan in East Bengal to defeat them and help the citizens establish a new country Bangladesh. As many as 92,000 Pakistani soldiers surrendered themselves to the Indian Army.

Viru wrote- “45 years ago #OnThisDay, Pakistan Army surrendered with 92,000 soldiers. All our children should learn about valour of our army.

#VijayDiwas”
