Ten days after the royal, though secret, the wedding of the Indian skipper Virat Kohli and Bollywood diva Anushka Sharma was held in the picturesque Tuscany, Italy in presence of family members and very few close friends of the couple, it was time for Virushka’s reception in Delhi.

Political heavyweights graced the occasion

The reception marked the couple’s first public appearance after the wedding. The occasion was graced mainly by Virat’s friends and family members alongside the Political leaders with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Finance Minister Arun Jaitley being the prime attractions. The security was at its peak to avoid any sort of rush at the arrival of both the dignitaries.

The little ‘celebrity’

Apart from the two political heavyweights, one special guest stole the show at Virushka reception in Delhi. It was none other than, Shikhar Dhawan’s son Zoravar, a young ‘celebrity’ who gained much attraction on the night. Dhawan being a Delhi boy made his presence felt at the event along with his family.

Virat was seen dancing to a popular Punjabi number alongside Gurdas Maan, one of the few celebrity attractions with Dhawan and his son.

Couple fancied traditional attire

Both Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma were seen sporting a traditional attire at the reception night. Virat was wearing a black bandhgala with a shawl draped on one shoulder to complement his looks while the wife donned a red banarasi saree with a neatly-tied bun adorned by a ‘gajra’, completed her looks with heavy jewellery and vermilion. Ace designer Sabyasachi Mukherjee, who designed Virat and Anushka’s costumes for all their wedding rituals and the reception, was also present at the reception.

The couple is to host another reception in Mumbai on 26th that is known to be graced by the colleagues of both the individuals. Indian cricket team and the officials from BCCI are reported to be invited formally from Virat’s side and the star-studded reception will be encompassed by Anushka’s friends from the film Industry.
